ON PARADE OREGON TRAIL DAYS FESTIVAL Summary: Tipis on display throughout City of Oregon to promote Oregon Trail Days Festival Cost: $1495 Program: 14 foot Tipi, artist, and paint included in price Committee Use: Tipis will initially be used by committee to advertise upcoming festival and will be located at Lowden State Park for camping Customer Use: Tipis may be used by business or organization for business display, camping, etc if they choose to keep them. Otherwise the Tipi may be donated back to the Festival Committee to be auctioned off as a fundraiser Theme: The theme is up to the customer however it is preferred that the theme be representative of Oregon’s Native American or western history. Suggestions include: wildlife, floral or fauna, the Rock River, early buildings, Indian themes, etc Rules: 1. No overt Advertising 2. Name of business or organization cannot be primary feature 3. Business name must be incorporated artistically into design Detailed Description The “Tipis on Parade” will be used as an artistic and historical representation of the community during the Oregon Trail Days Festival being held July 16-18, 2010. Tipis will be painted by local artist with themes that evoke the historical and natural nature of Oregon and will be on display prior to the festival as an attempt to draw attention to Oregon and the festival. During the event Tipis will be on display at Lowden State Park as an aesthetic display for the festival and they will also be available for camping. Money collected from camping fees will be used to pay for Festival expenses. After the event customers may choose to keep their Tipis for business displays or they may donate them back to the Festival Committee to be auctioned off as a fundraiser.
